The Villa Obregón Ejido present their annual CHARRO TAURINAS. This “Tradicional Feria Taurina” will be held at the Plaza de Toros La Candelaria from February 10th – 14th. 2012.
Special Events:
Friday, Saturday & Sunday Feb 10-12: Rodeo and Dance (Niños $30p/Adultos $60p)
Monday Feb 13:
5:30pm: Banda Movil from Chapalilla Nayarit & Militares del Amor ($100 pesos)
Tuesday Feb 14:

6:00pm: Enanitos Toreros de Guadalajara (midget entertainers)

Gringo Day Rodeo – Fiesta 2012

La Manzanilla del Mar is proud to host their annual Gringo Day Rodeo on Saturday, February 4th at 2pm. There will be cervesa, birria, punch, banda, dance & bull riding rodeo. Admission is $200 pesos. All proceeds support La Manzanilla schools, health center & ambulance services. Please come out and support the community.

Club de Pesca International Fishing Tournament

The “Club de Pesca Barra de Navidad” invites all anglers to join them for their 37th annual International Fishing Tournament held January 19th-21st, 2012. Participants may register Wednesday Jan 18th at 6pm at Hotel Cabl Blanco’s Restaurant Acuarios at Barra de Navidad. Fishing commences after the inaguration ceremonies on Thursday at 8am and continues for 3 days. After 5pm each day visitors may view the weight-in of Sailfish, Marlin, Dorado and Tuna as the boats return to the “Puerto Marino Pier” at the Grand Bay Hotel. There is normally Banda music, with beer & tequila drinks available.
To get here, hire a lancha from the Barra lagoon for 15p.

CISCO’S AMIGOS – AUCTION/BINGO – BARRA DE NAVIDAD

Cisco’s Amigos is hosting a Silent Auction and Bingo to rase funds for the Melaque Animal Clinic. This event will be held at Rooster’s Restaurant in Barra de Navidad starting at 2:00pm on January 12th, 2012. Beer and wine will be sold. Entry is $100 Pesos for 9 bingo cards. No entry fee required to participate in the Silent Auction. All proceeds go to the Cisco’s Amigos Melaque clinic December 14th-18th, 2012. Come out and have some fun!

Cisco’s Amigos welcomes you to their 8th annual Music Night in La Manzanilla on January 2nd., 2012. Donation of $150 Pesos per person. Bring a food item to share. Beer and wine will be sold. Music starts at 7:pm at Rusty and Julie’s home at Hacienda No.6 (off of Rufino Tamayo). ”look for the signs to point the way”. All procceds go to The La Manzanilla animal clinic February 10-14th.

Pueblo El Aguacate welcomes you to their Charro Taurinas being held at the Plaza de Toros El Aguacate from January 13th. – 16th. 2012. If you enjoy watching vaqueros perform on their caballos, bull riding and dancing to Banda music be sure not to miss these events starting each night after 6pm.

The El Ranchito Ejido present their annual Charro Taurinas. This “Tradicional Feria Taurina” is being held at the Plaza de Toros El Ranchito (Emiliano Zapata) from December 31st. 2011 to January 2nd. 2012. Plan to attend and enjoy fine horsemanship, bull riding and music to dance by. Evenings after 6pm.
Main Music Events Are:
• Saturday Dec. 31st: Banda Perla Blanca
• Sunday Jan 1st: Banda Tamborazo Puro Grullo
• Monday Jan 2nd: Banda El Grullo y Norteño Banda

Pueblo Emiliano Zapata is located Northwest of Melaque on the water side of Mx-200 Hwy, just North of the Mx-80 junction. The town is locally know as El Ranchito (The Ranch).

Cam Cihuatlán Benefit Event

Everyone is invited to attend the 3rd Annual Benefit Event for CAM Cihuatlán.
This event, which supports local handicapped children will be held at Restaurant Esmeralda in Melaque on January 20th. 2012 starting at 5:00pm.
